UPMC Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

The opportunity to work from home

The patients and a couple of my co-workers

Helping the people that truly need it

Interacting with coworkers and other staff.

My coworkers are the only thing keeping me at this job as I look elsewhere for employment.

The work that I do. I like my job.

Getting along with almost all staff & knowing I did my best to try to make each patients day better that i have contact with & I did the best I could for the patients while in my care

The patients brighten my day with their resilience. I enjoy helping them and adding a little sunshine to their day. Nurses & doctors are highly capable. Their relentless work is inspiring.

Helping people get a better understanding of whats available to them

When I have all my products and the equipment works

Review from Operations Dept

It's always been about the patients

Clocking out is the only thing

Review from Operations Dept

Interacting with various maint. personnel

Review from Operations Dept

Not knowing what happens next

Review from Operations Dept

My coworkers are great team players, but for the most part, everyone is unhappy including some of our providers.

Co workers make day good

Review from Admin Dept

I really enjoy what I do

Review from Customer Support Dept

Coworkers. Patients. Dr. Seeing the progress patients make.

Review from Customer Support Dept

My team is wonderful to work with and the environment is friendly.

Review from IT Dept

being able to be myself

Review from Customer Support Dept

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Lack of respect, no consequences for bad behavior, and high expectation with little to no pay

Hiring more staff while providing incentives for staff that has been with the company for years. Properly utilize the resources available. Instead of hiring staff and providing good working conditions, UPMC thinks ordering pizzas for staff will magically make the patient overflow disappear.

Everything could be a lil better

UPMC needs to go in and CLEAN HOUSE

Review from Customer Support Dept

Executive leadership change from the top down

Review from Admin Dept

It is an emotional company to work with: Life and death situations daily. One small mistake can make life miserable fir months or years.

Review from Operations Dept

more of a positive nature

Review from Customer Support Dept

Hire more nurses and registration staff. Wait times should not be hours long.

Review from Admin Dept

Better benefits, accountability, sharing the workload

Review from IT Dept

The company makes billions every year but tricks patients out of there money because they are cheap. Not enough salary for enough employees to do the work so everyone is always rushing and were always shorthanded.

Review from Product Dept

The job doesn't pay well but it is bad for personal health

Pay us fairly and make sure we are alright as a company. Half of the workers struggle daily just to get to our jobs because we are so underpayed and understaffed.

Review from Operations Dept

I don't like working in hospitals

Review from Operations Dept

Bosses do not care about their employees. You could be fired tomorrow for little to no reason and nothing is done.

Review from Product Dept

Give everyone a voice not just leadership

Review from Operations Dept

Staff is overworked and underpaid. Management spends so much time in meetings, but not on the floors with staff seeing the problems we face daily. So many managers, but not enough staff. Staff (other than nursing) needs more compensation with pay and education opportunities.

Review from Customer Support Dept

LESS CHARTING SO MORE TIME CAN BE SPENT WITH PATIENTS

Review from Operations Dept
