Vail Resorts Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The employees. The skiing. The mountain.

The atmosphere and the visitors have been really nice. Of course I am only working the summer season, cannot speak on winter.

Review from Operations Dept

Living and showing the core values which is part of being a good human being. It is nice to have this culture in a large workforce which influence many people. It is awesome to teach and grow the culture we support and hopefully. It's in society and the scene is meaningful to our guests.

Review from Operations Dept

Me & the people i work with directly.

Just the employees attitudes and are get it done attitude

The staff support each other because we know we are all undervalued. I feel valued by my coworkers because we all make it bearable and fun.

Review from Customer Support Dept

We all get excited about snow.

We try to have a lot of fun. Fun is a core value of the company and our product is certainly a lot of fun.

Perks, ski passes, discounts, benefits

the whole company and town is active and outdoorsy

Review from Operations Dept

Everyone helps everyone else out, it keeps a positive vibe

Everybody is nice and we work together well

Employees on the same level trust one another and have great teamwork and fun together. Share common goals for quality of employment to improve in the company.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Nothing. It's terrible and Vail actively seeks to cut 'culture' and associated budgets

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Listen and implement enforcement of rules so people don't try to run things their way but the way it should be done

Care more about customer service. The community we live in. Value employees!

Review from Operations Dept

Management is arrogant and does not resolve your complaints

Review from Customer Support Dept

Better pay for all employees and a higher focus on employee retention. Housing stipends for employees who work in resort areas.

Care about employees, stop hiring fake people who pretend to care but just cover corperate tail.

Better management, less toxic bullshit, better pay, change dress code regulations, stop being so corporate

Everyone is always afraid of losing their job

Stop being jerks! Listen to what your employees say when they leave. Stop favoring your friends for leadership positions

IT leadership needs to turnover.

Empower employees, stop making them work on vacation, don’t give them nightly “homework”, lead by example, show some integrity and stop lying, stop micromanaging (EC calls it alignment b
