What makes you most happy at work?
$3/day off my check to eat nearly whatever I want. And commissary prices for bulk groceries. I.e. $64 for a 4 flat box of bacon, hundreds of pieces.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The ones who fit in become life long friends, the ones who don't typically quit quickly and complain a lot about the work load. It can feel like a lot but the job is all common sense.
What are some of the best things about your team?
When you have a good team you only need 1 grill op and maybe two servers to do $1000 about 100 patrons. However due to a lack of a good hiring pool I've seen some sub par picks lately.
What did you like most about the interview process?
When I first got hired we had the opportunity to sit down with the manager, explain our history and eat a sausage biscuit over a cigarette out back, they're really down to earth people who accept anyone worth keeping.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Well we used to get these sweet vacation bonuses that we could cash in and take a week off, now it's easier to get time off but the PTO system is a bit more confusing. I like the bonuses best though, about $1-1.5/hr extra for getting work done.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
You have a shift leader, an assistant manager, a manager, district manager, regional and everything else is corporate. Lower management is pretty fluid, people get promoted to that pretty easily I'd they're good. Middle is a career but pays well. Upper cooperate is hard to get into but worth it.
