Being such a large company, there is a lot of room for learning and growth. My hopes are that the positions that have been successfully working from home for the last 15 months can continue to have a remote option. The good people are being approached by other companies and XPO needs to retain them.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My team is unique, in that we don't interact other than sharing best practices, ideas, and general personal communication. We do the same tasks but interact with partners in other cities/states.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We tout being inclusive and participate in the PR bits, so that's great. But we're also stepping up when it comes to coaching women and minorities into management. So I feel like that's fantastic.
What makes you most happy at work?
I was hired to do a job and I'm trusted to do that job. There is very little management oversight as long as I fulfill all expectations, so it's nice to not be micromanaged.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Leadership team does seem to care, but there have been so many changes with XPO over the last 2 years, so there is a lot of uncertainty. I wish communication of the "end goal" was more clear.
