My experience has been good. There are highs and lows but that is the same in any company. I thoroughly enjoy working for XPO and plan on doing so for many years to come. I do think the workload is too much for everyone from the DGM, SCM and the FOS. I believe we need to look at reducing this soon.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive thing for me is the team culture and atmosphere that we built around our district.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people around me and knowing that the foundation of the company is strong for years to come.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We can count on each other for support. No one makes anyone feel as though they don't belong and we praise each other when one of us do well.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Most have good experience with the positions that they are in. They seem well educated and most seem to truly understand the issues and challenges that we are facing today and how to combat them.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We tend to re-evaluate the what the hourlies are paid on a yearly basis but never the salaried team except for the FOS group several years ago. As the job becomes more and more demanding and the market for talent heats up, we should look at everyone from the DGM's down.
