XPO – I lost my raise in 2020 working every day through the most stressful year of my life, but the busiest year of production and shipping at our site. We never shut down. We pushed through and made it happen here but still no raise and to get 3% the next year after all that? It hurts. It hurt us all. | Comparably

What makes you most happy at work?

The idea that it will lead to more advancements in pay, or opportunities that align with my goals.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

We all look forward to servicing the client. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't be here. If it wasn't for us they wouldn't be your client but it feels like only we remember that.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

XPO incorrectly prides itself for being competitive. When you're closer to the minimum than the median on the salary range there is a problem, especially when you've been working for YEARS at a site. It doesn't help that S.Chain often feels forgotten, which explains the spinoff. Hoping for changes.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We all put up with the struggle of working for XPO together. We couldn't get through it if it wasn't for each other. We know we get no support outside of our own means. No financial support on employee engagement so we have to spend our own money to show employees the appreciation they deserve.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team that I have met I believe are doing everything they can to support myself and the employees here. I feel that the upper executives don't care much for the sacrifice and struggle that we have gone through during the pandemic. I lost my raise in 2020 and got 3% in 2021. Insulting.
