We are a solid competitor in the freight market. However, our service goals have faltered with the linehaul control shift so the customer base does not trust our stated delivery goals. that will hurt us later. We have work to do still.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
We are all still over worked and I am hiring as fast as I can. Equipment and personnel. The proverbial COVID Headache!
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Equipment maintenance and acquisition of talent at the shops through out the regions. Our equipment being short or broken is killing our regions.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
We need trucks, trailers, people. Then things will settle. I am working at a break neck pace to change that culture at my location.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Get us more trucks, retire the Sterling's, get the shops staffed back on 24 hour shifts! Balance the trailer pools regionally while the weather is good.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
More compensation. I am hiring Drivers that are making more than me. Why is the supervisor who is responsible for running the organization being paid less than the line staff? Back off your profit goals and start caring about the staff again!
