Talkdesk is a great place to launch your career and learn a lot really fast. The experience you gain here is invaluable. There are also a lot of leadership dynamics that aren't always great, the culture can be really grueling, and it's easy to get burned out and treated a bit like a machine.

Talkdesk encourages a fast-paced and high-performance culture. It's also fully remote, which offers a lot of benefits but can also make the culture inconsistent from team to team. Some teams have amazing culture and some teams struggle to connect remotely.

Talkdesk works its people very hard - it's a high pressure environment and people get burned out very quickly. There's high turnover. It could be improved if the company focused its culture less around singing competitions and more around healthy company norms and employee support.

I feel some teams are paid fairly at Talkdesk and others are not. My own team is paid well below market salary and at the same time is asked to do more than what is common for comparable roles at other companies that pay more. I'd feel better about my compensation if Talkdesk monitored this better.
