Talkdesk Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Flexible work hours and work from anywhere

Review from HR Dept

RSUs grants are way too small to be relevant.

Review from Engineering Dept

The base salary is good however in terms of commissions I think the package could improve

Review from Customer Success Dept

It's fair and realistic versus the tasks i'm asked to perform

Review from Customer Support Dept

The benefits are excellent, unlimited PTO that you can actually use and paid volunteer time.

Review from Sales Dept

The option to have flex compensation that is not taxed.

Review from Engineering Dept

Good ratio of fix and flexible salary

Review from Sales Dept

Working in a remote capacity

Review from HR Dept

It's a very flexible compensation package with interesting benefits.

Review from HR Dept

Remote work and possibility to work also in a hybrid model.

Review from HR Dept

have a stable thirteenth salary

Review from Engineering Dept

I feel the salary is appropriate for the work/title.

Review from Engineering Dept

I truly believe that Talkdesk leaders take great care in ensuring equity with our diverse team.

Review from Customer Success Dept

The equity is important to me, especially given the direction in which the company is headed.

Review from Customer Success Dept

It's superior to any I've ever seen or had access to in this country.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I am excited about having an equity stake in the company.

I would say the WFH policy followed closely by my base salary.

Review from HR Dept

Base salary is pretty good

Review from HR Dept

pay yearly compensation is the best part of my compensation package

Review from Marketing Dept

I would say my compensation base and the health benefits are by far the best I've had at any company.

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Should not determine one's value only by one interview, because the interview is filled with subjectivity from both interviewer and interviewee or even cheating in an interview, the evaluation must adjust in time by the performance on recent work, or else it may be not benefited for the longtime.

Review from Engineering Dept

The market rate for the responsibilities asked of me is significantly higher. Salary and Variable compensation.

Review from Customer Success Dept

Compensation is not equal with the market value. In addition, there were compensation enhancements communicated but never were delivered on

Review from Sales Dept

This is an interesting way to phrase the question, because for me these two things influence each other. My low compensation is what makes me feel undervalued. Base salary & bonus are significantly lower than the market rate for my location/experience.

Review from Marketing Dept

My work is psychologically demanding as we mostly deal with people's problems. This should be taken into account and valued more.

Review from Customer Support Dept

I believe there should be a clear link to performance and the extra mile that we all give. I understand that the market we operate is very heated, and that sometimes base salary isn't always easy to compete with, but I believe that with little effort there could be perks that would make a difference

Review from HR Dept

Total comp seems undervalued to industry, no 401k matching, and no performance bonus. I don't feel there is much incentive to over-perform.

Compensation is below market. Compensation is not the reason people join Talkdesk.

Compensation is a huge contentious point. I took a pay cut to come to TD and would like to see that righted soon.

Review from HR Dept

I have recently found out that I am underpaid (significantly) compared to my counterparts (men). I understand this is being resolved but it hasn't come to fruition yet. When I make the same as my counterparts, I will feel better.

Review from Sales Dept

Workload vs time + benchmarking shows that the same job is better paid in other companies. Sometimes looks like we need to be doing a lot of side projects at the same time/work outside of working hours to be recognized even we are doing pretty well in the job we were hired for.

Review from HR Dept

The company is not adapting to the current market that involves higher salary, Unlimited PTO in all the regions, Real Remote Work (possible to work in different countries), and even the option of the 4 days workweek.

Review from Customer Success Dept

If the job just included onboarding and scheduling the $21/hr would be average, however, everyone on this team does extensive projects including legal, policy implementation, company wide trainings and company wide organizational projects and we aren't salary workers. We deserve more than $21.

Review from Operations Dept

Sales attainment is unrealistic for the time frame given. I understand we need stretch goals but supporting teams cannot control the outcomes of that stretch and end up making less than they would at another company with a proven track record of attainment.

Review from Sales Dept

I feel some teams are paid fairly at Talkdesk and others are not. My own team is paid well below market salary and at the same time is asked to do more than what is common for comparable roles at other companies that pay more. I'd feel better about my compensation if Talkdesk monitored this better.

Review from HR Dept

In comparison with what we have to do and what other companies offer, I believe the role is underpaid. It feels compensated with other benefits from the team and the culture but in a global perspective it could be better paid.

Review from Customer Success Dept

The only thing I see as negative at Talkdesk is the compensation which is not aligned with the market. It was never aligned with the market since I joined more than 2 years go and currently the gap is even bigger. This applies not only to Engineering but to other departments as Talent.

Review from HR Dept

I have already been contacted by other companies where they offered me more than €650 gross, which indicates that I am receiving below the market. It would al

Review from HR Dept

communication, transparency, more organization/ processes, more project management challenges, management needs to avoid having favorites with which they share more info and more interesting projects

Review from HR Dept

My role is constantly overworked. A lot of issues in other departments somehow always become our issue to resolve. We are expected to give 110%, 150% of the time and it sets unrealistic expectations and makes us look and feel like machines. 21/hr for a role so disrespected is laughable.
