Compensation should be revised periodically inline with the market standards along with considering other factors like inflation etc. in mind. For past 4-5 years (except last year), we did not even met inflation, leaving aside the market.
After KKR, stocks distribution was done. I served 10+ yrs in the company and have 19 yrs of experience but stocks allocation to me was that of a software engineer level just because I took internal transition to Product Mgmt. These stocks were result of our hard work, I should have got a fair value.
