Culture is big here, Atlassian is all about protecting it. Part of the process also involved evaluating goodness of fit.

The Nature Conservancy: My overall experience is that TNC hires people and then doesn't manage them. Staff can be absolutely terrible (one is being sued by the IRS and neighbors but leadership doesn't seem to care) without any internal remediation.
