Overall, my experience has been positive. Although I am not looking to leave UT Health, I would definitely consider it if the right opportunity presented itself.

We work together as a team. It isn't the best team I've been part of, but it is far from the worst.

My department's leadership team cares about the person, not just the job. I can't speak for anyone higher than my Director because I am not familiar with them.

Medical benefits are horrible. What I pay for insurance for my family and the out-of-pocket expenses are way too high. Someday soon, someone will avoid going to the hospital in a life-or-death situation because they are concerned about the bills and not realize the seriousness of their illness.
