When I became Lead, I expected to be compensated more for the level of work required for my job. I don't believe my work in undervalued (just the opposite) as leadership has been a support when working long, stressful days. I feel my pay is lower than my role responsibilities demand for core custom
The team I manage are exceptional people. We support each other when a teammate is sick or on PTO, they jump in without being asked. We joke, make sure each other is taken care of & just enjoy working with each other. I lead my team by example & I'm proud of the team I've built
