They need to recognize how they are treating workers and recognize the work we are doing. Many workers are not being recognized for a job well done, and job security feels non-existent. It seems as though positions are going to be moved off shore entirely by a certain date.

Treating employees based on merit and not personal relationships. The CTO and entire upper engineering management are buddies and only promote their own. Nepotism is terrible at Alkami

What is the best part about your compensation package?
My compensation is a good balance of base, variable incentives, and equity.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Told I was at the top of the pay scale, but new hires have a larger scale for same level

I've been here for almost 4 years and have yet to be consideration for a promotion. I have demonstrated each and every qualifying criteria of a Software Engineer IV (IC4) and have not been considered for the position. I have had conversations with my manager for the past 3 years with no results.

Insurance coverage is poor. 401k match is very weak.

It is not in par with similar companies in the industry. It could have been better. It is very important to retain the top talent. Hiring and grooming a new candidate is more costlier than retaining the existing one.

Working collaboratively. Most of my colleagues prefer to work in their own siloes and often try to deflect or defend work rather than focusing on solving situations as a whole.

Instead of hiring employees based on merit we're just hiring the cheapest labor possible when outsourcing and new hires within the states tend to be people the CTO has personal or previous business relationships with

Remove unnecessary blockers and bureaucracy

We are constantly pushed to produce more faster, with pressure to keep quality high AND address urgent issues. It's exhausting and unsustainable. We should consider our employees to be our most valuable and limiting resource, treating them with respect by guaranteeing 40 hours or less.

Management is micromanaging and non-appreciative. Additionally, they are not present in any team level meetings

- Engineering management is out of touch and more focused on increasing their stock bonuses than listening to senior engineers. - They speak in absolute terms saying if you don't agree with everything they say, then leave. There is zero open dialog and it feels like walking on pins and needles
