Alkami has a collaborative environment and is making great technological advancements

I really enjoy listening to Alex's talks, but I do wish he would spend more time telling the internal company about things before the external world at times

Provides clear goals and has bias towards actions
Review from Engineering Dept
I really value the leadership team’s commitment to transparency. By sharing the 'why' behind new strategies in such detail, they provide the context I need to align my work with
Review from Engineering Dept
They are very accessible and have open conversations.
Review from Engineering Dept
They have a clear direction for the company and clearly and frequently communicate that. C-levels routinely have skip level 1-1 and focus group meetings to stay in touch with what is happening at the ground level.
Review from Engineering Dept
Preserving the culture of collaboration and professional trust. Respect for concerns - allow clarifying questions without becoming defensive... take feedback in good faith, as we're asked to do about roll-outs of huge changes.
Review from Engineering Dept
Listening to employees about their concerns and hiring onshore to show that they care about us as employees and not only as costs to be cut
Review from Engineering Dept
Valuing employees. Understanding what individual teams do. Actually integrating the companies they purchase. Employing quality managers at all levels. Employing quality people instead of buddy buddy hires
Review from Engineering Dept
Incentivize high performers with actual differentiating pay structures. There is little to no difference between someone who is exceeding expectations, and what they are able to receive vs someone who is meeting expectations. Naturally this gives high performers little reason to want to stay.

I have health insurance, in this economy

salary is at par with the market

The ability to work remotely.
Review from Engineering Dept
High performers at a certain level can obtain stock grants for good performance.
Review from Engineering Dept
We're starting to develop a culture where people are thought of as being interchangeable pieces (undervaluing). Rather than team members with differing strengths. Compensation is not keeping up with inflation.
Review from Engineering Dept
no equity or end of year bonuses
Review from Engineering Dept
more affordable health insurance, not a high deductible plan
Review from Engineering Dept
We got 3% raise at the beginning of 2026 and was told by management that everyone got 3% raise. But there was evidence showing the manager who said that got 10%-ish raise himself.
Review from Engineering Dept
The NYC market dictates that my pay should be higher then what it is, but we are scoped/based to all of America. In addition, the health care and 401k benefits are also behind market. I appreciate many of the other incentives, but there is little reward in many of the 'fun' activities we pitch.
Review from Engineering Dept
The team I am on is absolutely one of the top performing dev teams in the company, and we aren't considered a dev team, but we have the fastest response to production incidents of any team

Team has great collaboration and helping mindset
Review from Engineering Dept
My favorite things about this team are the high-caliber talent, the thorough planning, and the high bar for quality.
Review from Engineering Dept
We communicate pretty regularly and we are fairly good at collaborating.
Review from Engineering Dept
Collaborative and supportive. Everyone is willing to discuss ideas and options for improvement. Everyone at Alkami is highly skilled in their field.
Review from Engineering Dept
Have clarity on their job functions and the expertise to actually do them
Review from Engineering Dept
more collaboration and less ego, less individual interest
Review from Engineering Dept
Working collaboratively. Most of my colleagues prefer to work in their own siloes and often try to deflect or defend work rather than focusing on solving situations as a whole.
Review from Engineering Dept
Instead of hiring employees based on merit we're just hiring the cheapest labor possible when outsourcing and new hires within the states tend to be people the CTO has personal or previous business relationships with
Review from Engineering Dept
More initiative and courage would be a welcome change. Many of my coworkers have what feels like learned helplessness.
Review from Engineering Dept
My manager and team are definitely the best

We win together mindset and collaboration
Review from Engineering Dept
The best part is how thoughtful we are about our goals. We look at the 'why' and 'why not' before acting, and there is a big focus on investing in the right areas and helping employees get better at what they do.
Review from Engineering Dept
The channels where folks can connect around their personal interests.
Review from Engineering Dept
For me personally it is working for a manager that challenges people to grow, giving them ownership and freedom, but done with support.
Review from Engineering Dept
Integrate acquisitions and focus on growth and innovation in products, not just growth of the bottom line
Review from Engineering Dept
Focus on building great products
Review from Engineering Dept
Remove unnecessary blockers and bureaucracy
Review from Engineering Dept
We are constantly pushed to produce more faster, with pressure to keep quality high AND address urgent issues. It's exhausting and unsustainable. We should consider our employees to be our most valuable and limiting resource, treating them with respect by guaranteeing 40 hours or less.
Review from Engineering Dept
The executives need to reflect the company culture.

That we are a remote-first company.
Review from Engineering Dept
Solving hard problems that improve the work for other people, and improve the products and service we deliver to our customers.
Review from Engineering Dept
Getting to work with my team.
Review from Engineering Dept
Too much noise, not enough signal. Too much focus on 'fair' and not enough on making sure the doers are placed in the right positions and retained. Too much reactions to customer needs/wants without thinking through how to best achieve the asks.
Review from Engineering Dept
Especially since the stock price is down and the activist investor has been applying pressure, things have been very different in a bad way. Much more micromanagement, much less change management, leadership giving canned superficial answers to questions.

Need a more collaborative work environment
