My customers. Being able to help them, giving them service with a smile. Making them feel like they do matter and are appreciated I think is very important in this business. Because without our customers we don't have a job.
They just need to serve the customers needs, not ignore them because they think they only have to stock or they are going on break. They need to share the responsibility of customers seriously. Not walk away from saying they have work to do. Making the customers feel like the don't matter.
Being a good leader means keeping a good team, having them work as a team. Not promising hours to get merchandise stocked, then taking the hours away. Treating your team that way is why stores don't have good service. They don't enjoy their job because they aren't treated as a valued employee.
It is the only benefit that is offered to the employees. Because the store managers sure don't treat the employees fairly there is no team work at all at the stores and customers see this. I had them work out because of the wait and the other employee just ignoring the line.
The customers, I will go out of my way to help my customers. They are the only reason I am there. My co-workers are rude and think that they don't need to help the customers. I have had multiple customers upset by the way they were treated. We have never had a team meeting. There is no team work.
