Hold slackers accountable and actively work on having them improve instead of letting them drag the rest of the team and program down. Not waiting until it becomes so bad that they are just fired.
There are a few coworkers that give a hundred plus percent and back up staff. They are constantly trying to make things work better and are invested in the kids. They recognize the extra work i do and show appreciation for the teamwork. If all employees did that this place would be more successful.
