They need to respect your position, embrace it, and work with you to win the deal. Ask questions if they do not understand. And lately, enter the conversation and leave it with a "Positive Vibe".
The team I am part of is great. We listen to each other and offer guidance for challenging times as well as when things are looking good. We share our experiences to make ourselves better. Out side of that bubble, is challenging.
During the July layoff, when my department was affected, in an effort to stay prepared for my family, I begin to look for positions for jobs I am currently holding at Anritsu. I was heartbroken to discover I'm $35K lower. Am I getting equal pay? I've should have demonstrated my loyalty by now....
