Transparency. Transparency. Transparency. Aside from that, supporting and listening to individual employee's growth areas and properly supporting them as well as getting to know an employee for who they are rather than who the manager/team wants them to be.
Morale, pay, benefits, support, everything. Everyone raves about the stock price going up, but then programs that make employees happy are cut at that cost. The company needs to put employees first before its shareholders and investors.
A manager that is transparent and support career growth, proper compensation for my skills and talent, free food or at least better pricing on food items, and last but not least a culture and morale that puts the team before the individual. All are lacking at Intel corporation.
Trust, respect, and collaboration. On my team, the managers have created an inner circle of a few trusted team members. After a few months on the team, I found that my peers were entrusted with watching my every move and reporting it to management. Created a sense of disrespect and distrust.
