
I work with many members of the leadership team on a regular basis and find it not only easy but enjoyable to work with them. They are willing to listen and realign in order to reach a common goal.
Our team understands one another's struggles due to lack of team members. We work well to overcome hurdles. That doesn't change the fact that we need more people and better compensation. Many have exited and more will exit. It's too stressful for too little pay.
Given the many hats I wear and the clear lack of willingness to hire more people for our BU, I absolutely deserve a much larger merit increase than I received this year. It doesn't come close to matching my annual performance review rating. Why strive for a 4/5 to receive a merit increase of a 3?
It's evident that even after all the effort I've put into my role, MB must not appreciate me too much to give me such a poor raise. Add to that the lack of hiring to fill emptying roles in our BU adding to the work load. Benefits continue to get worse each year and raises don't match the inflation.
