Its nice to have a CEO that is an engineer first. Also cares about us as people. I have, as a lowly grunt, talked to our CFO several times and he is welcome and receptive to suggestions or new ideas.
With the tech "downturn" this last year it was nice to see a company open and honest with us about what they think the next 18 months are going to be like. And they planned for it without firing a bunch of people and instead made other sacrafices like holding raises to flatten our curve.
