The worst job i have ever had. I recently retired from a federal law enforcement job in a highly political unit. Some of the employees that i supervise have no regard for working as a team and being a team player. My direct supervisor is not responsive, admin staff is 1 in payroll/hrs. Awful
Attentiveness to their subordinates. Actually responding when asked a question
The employees in a contract world aren't held accountable for their actions. The whole culture needs to be revamped
Air Ops is at the mercy of ICE and the current administration so that we cannot control. A better hierarchy structure within the company would be helpful for all managerial staff
More staff at an admin level. A clearly defined hierarchy that takes some of the burden off the manager, who is currently responsible for approximately 90 employees. FLIGHT Supervisors need more responsibility
Being a salaried employee, on call 24/7, my pay does not reflect the amount of hours I actually work. Officers who accrue overtime bring home much more than I do with no responsibilities.
Managers at my level are knowledgeable and have a great work ethic. Subordinates, not so much. They need to be held accountable and those employees who are bringing the team down need to be disciplined
The people at my level and some of the employees I supervise are very hard working and knowledgeable. Most of my subordinates need to realize they have a responsibility to the team and not work selfishly
The subordinates i supervise make far more money as an hourly employee than I do as a salaried employee. Monetary compensation to start but GEO needs to provide more admin staff to ease the burden in managerial and other admins
Add additional staff at managerial/admin staff level. Establish a formal onboarding program that isn't just watching power points for 4 day but actual helpful information such as specific policies and procedures, info on how to access all needed apps/systems, POCs, etc
Leadership is doing what they can, but corporate needs to realize the Air Ops program needs more employees at the admin level. With all the hard copy paperwork still required it is unreasonable to expect the amount of admin staff to keep up and it shows. Need a formal onboarding process
