Asurion has some great things going for it. It is a large company with an interesting product and loves to innovate. However, the quality of one's experience is highly dependent on one's manager. I have not received meaningful, actionable feedback on a consistent basis throughout my work here.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Recognizing contributions, celebrating team wins, sharing paths to grow with Asurion, and reducing information silos.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Title and pay are not commensurate with market rate for my job duties. I have evaluated market rate using salary surveys for my industry and by speaking to individuals who work in the field.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is smart, interesting, friendly, and fun. I love working with my immediate teammates and those on sister teams. Even in a remote environment, there are many opportunities to feel like part of a team.
What makes you most happy at work?
Facing intellectual challenges (based on the subject area that I work in) and figuring out how to resolve them as a team. I also love interacting with my coworkers, who, for the most part, are lovely individuals and work hard.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Benefits costs went up substantially while overall salary remains flat. The pay for the job responsibilities and industry is low, and title is not commensurate with actual job duties. Some managers are difficult to work with.
