What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Connecting the dots between the corporate strategy and the work of teams throughout the org. Also, allow employees to have more autonomy regarding where and how they work.

stop breaking the backs of developers. Product doesn't listen to us, and we are demanded to deliver too much in too little time. it's absolutely draining and demoralizing. Product managers and leaders act like they are better and have more power than us.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Flexibility. Between my health and family, the flexibility that's been extended is hard to quantify, but is as important as my pay.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Overall bonus is nice but would be nice if had a multiplier tied to the performance of the company. Also the health benefits are not great. Cigna is horrible to work with and overall the insurance and 401k plans are expensive with not great options.

I'm not getting promoted, and haven't gotten a raise in several years. Even though everyone around me thinks I should have gotten promoted a long time ago.

Overall compensation package is a bit on the low side. Would like to have either better comp or more perks. Even the lunches have gotten more expensive. Would like to see pay at least meeting the inflation increase.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Our co-workers need to be better at respecting each other's time and come prepared. They should be better at making email threads and detailing request instead of reaching out without any details when they reach out for help and waste everyone's time.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Instead of saying you're listening to the employees, actually listen to them. Get teams to collaborate better. And follow through on promises

actually listen to us, slow down. I cannot stress enough, we are moving too fast. I know companies only care about profits and shareholders at the end of the day, but this pace is absolutely unsustainable. we are losing devs left and right, and before you know it, YOU WILL HAVE NO GOOD PEOPLE LEFT.

I didn't feel like I had to be overly formal or that everything about me was being picked apart. My only complaint is that the communication after was poor and I was intentionally mislead about sales requirements.

What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing that I continue to grow while my efforts will both improve our offerings and improve our margin by automating processes that are appropriate, and enforcing code-quality through standardization and automation.

already stated, but again, slow down. we are burnt out. I recommend reading Atlas Shrugged if you want to truly understand how I feel about the direction of our company

Broadly across the product organization product leaders are not very strong, seem to lack product knowledge and expertise, and are not invested in some of the fundamental responsibilities of product; ie. is the team functioning well, is what we're building useful and are we measuring it, etc.

When I was hired initially I was told that sales was not a requirement, but sadly that changed and due to events out of my control, it will be a heavy requirement. I just wish almost every role wasn't also sales based on entry level.
