Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I understand that new graduates might have a reduced rate coming into the workforce for the first time. But, if I am meeting expectations then I expect to be paid the average at least. However, AECOM is slow and unwilling to meet my needs and expectations in compensation.

I was promised a negotiated rate increase when I submitted my resignation when getting a great offer at another company. For three months I have not see. The rate increase that was promised. Totally lied to and they made me miss a great opportunity.

collaboration and open communication as well as supporting each other

They listen to each other. Unnecessary meetings get canceled. There is no pressure to turn my camera on when in a virtual meeting. We all have our video feed turned off usually. My manager doesn't micromanage me.

Poorly managed, poorly organised, unfriendly, standoffish, suborn and stuck in a rut.

The team needs better support from administrators so we can focus on the technical work we excel at and that brings in projects while admin handles finances more effectively at the project level.

Managers need to stop working weekends, stop working when they are sick, I need to stop receiving emails past work hours that add stress

The managers need to involve people more and prioritise the motivation to come to work by providing interesting work to do. AECOM do not bid on interesting projects unless they are likely to overcome their enormous overhead. Complete loss of priorities due to mismanagement

Hiring managers only hire their alumni and friends. These people can't win jobs for the company.

The company does not have a unified ethos for employees to grasp on to. It is all about profit and shareholder satisfaction while doing work that is meant to help the greater good.

Work requires a high school level of knowledge and has no actual responsibility. Having more meaningful work that promotes personal development and has a direct impact on the success of the organization and our clients, and increased responsibility would improve the work experience considerably.
