What do you like best about the leadership team?
Never had much of a chance to interact with leadership except for the first day introduction session. The team had to decide the headcount for the full time conversion of internship. It has been 1.5 months our internship ended and the leadership team still could not decide the headcount.

The fact that my opinions about implementing features were heard and adequate time and effort was put in by stake holders with much more experience than me. The fact that opinions are not dismissed just on the basis of experience was the best part about the leadership team, in my opinion.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Indian leadership needs to get better in values. Currently Uber tech have good engineers but very few good leaders. Most of the leaders are IC?

They should provide some clear insight on how to move forward with the interns, it is a career of a person they are keeping on hold due to some finance or other issues. Not the thing expected from this company.

They get their work done and then they don't give ppo, and then hire new people too but will say they don't have space. I did everything they asked for, even before time!!!!!! I don't know what more i could have done

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
They have really allowed the talent to drain, as they could not release the results for so long time. It is really disappointing to see that a industry leading company is doing this. They still don't have any visibility about when the results could be declared.

engineers are paid in same salary ranges regardless of the amount on times they're required to be on call. that makes engineers from smaller teams less paid by hour.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
Not sure is a matter of improvement. They're always very busy and with a lot on their plate. Also the age difference and time of their life is very big and its hard to relate sometimes.

Flat hierarchy. It is easy to enforce this my measurable metrics (eg. same desks for all / calling people by name) but the fact that all employees actually treat each other with due respect and value each other's opinions irrespective of seniority by experience is quite fantastic.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Everything is wrong here! They are just not grateful to you for the work you do, they want people who can slog all day sitting at one place and doing the same work I would do in 2 hours

RTO is a major negative as the company has not done much to make it a worthwhile experience. I don't work with anybody in office and concerns/critical feedback get thrown into the trash and we just plow further ahead into an abysmal work experience.

Company is big and right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing, sometimes we work at cross purposes, sometimes incentives don't overlap. We should focus less on "building amazing software" and focus more on "solving customer problems as cheaply as possible."
