Positive Reviews From Uber Employees

  • What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Uber is creating an inclusive workplace for employees, to build an inclusive app, to make this a more inclusive world. It is a ripple effect.
  • What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Uber has some of the most smartest people working together toward its mission and vision. This allows anyone who works at Uber to automatically learn and up their own game and help them develop as well!
  • What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is extremely open whether it be personal or work topics. I've never had to think twice about asking a question to any of my team members or to my manager. We are very accepting of all backgrounds, ethnicities and passions.

Constructive Feedback From Uber Employees

  • Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Many teams were affected by the layoffs, which meant the remaining individual contributors had to absorb that workload. While I understand why cuts were made, I think there needs to be a more structured pay for performance model to compensate those who stepped up in tough times.

Uber Mission Statement

We reimagine the way the world moves for the better.

Uber Vision Statement

Uber’s mission is to reimagine the way the world moves for the better. We started in 2010 to solve a simple problem: how do you get access to a ride at the touch of a button? More than 25 billion trips later, we’re building products to get people closer to where they want to be. By changing how people, food, and things move through cities, Uber is a platform that opens up the world to new possibilities. We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.

Uber Values

  • Go get it
  • Trip obsessed
  • Build with heart
  • Stand for safety
  • See the forest and the trees
  • One Uber
  • Great minds don't think alike
  • Do the right thing

Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility at Uber

Millions of rides a day. Zero emissions. That’s our commitment to every single person on the planet. The path there will be electric. It will be shared. It will be with buses and trains and bicycles and scooters. These monumental changes won’t come easy. Or fast. But we have a plan to get there, and we need you to come along for the ride.

“As the largest mobility platform in the world, we know that our impact goes beyond our technology. We want to do our part to build back better and support a green recovery in our cities and communities.” Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber CEO

Today’s communities face an unprecedented set of challenges. And while technology by itself isn't the solution, when it's done right—and combined with good partnerships—it has the potential to contribute to a better world for all. Our people, process, and technology can help transform cities into safer, more efficient, and more beautiful places.
