Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Uber?

Uber drivers barely make minimum wage ...enuff said and meanwhile uber corporation rakes in big profits!
I don't feel undervalued, but I would gladly trade some percentage points of the fare for health insurance and perhaps a stock option.

The leadership team has certainly had some struggles, but it is clear to me that they're serious about change and are working at that daily.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at Uber?

Nothing. Uber manipulates its drivers, even their own vehicle. They let certain riders abuse the ratings system and penalized me for it.
Its my own enviroment and i get to meet very cool people.

You don't get paid decently unless you pick up a rider in a surge zone.
Company commission too high and no proper care for driver partners
It would be nice for Uber to not take as big of a cut. Seems like I'm getting only 75+ as opposed to 80-85% recently.

Other drivers don't up hold quality and it's ba d for riders. Driver are constantly lost
Smartest people in the room but struggle due to politicking across the organization.
While at Uber I worked along some of the most intelligent people I have ever met. We worked incredibly hard to change the way our city moved

Taking care of their drivers and not just in perks. We need profits!! Higher pay. Taxi=$3.25 mile UBER=$0.87 mile in Houston. Ridiculous!

The other contractors are not the problem.
I don't meet them but by chance. No meetings, no team building. Not a bad thing at all.
Don't know other in office employees, the system does not make it available.
What needs to change to make the company culture better at Uber?
Tips for drivers
Uber is making record profits. If it weren't for the drivers Uber would be nothing but a useless App.
I feel the company should focus on both customers and drivers equally. They have to realize if there was no drivers there will be no company
What's going wrong and how can it be improved at Uber?
Higher mileage pay. Maybe making some people actual employees and paying them hourly + car allowance
I know as soon as a gay man gets in my van, he will 1-star me. I didn't like being manipulated into always taking fares and rating customers
Our level of service to the customer is good, and I do enjoy talking to customers, but if they knew how dismissive the company was to us....

Trying to make a major difference in transportation and logistics.
Looking at massive traffic scale flowing through systems that I write and realizing that one of my small mistake can spoil the day for thousands of riders/drives or an entire city. Also getting to know bizzare cartographic issue around the world (there are roads with no names)
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Uber?
Excellent
Worst interview experience. It lacks consistency, recruiters aren't trained on how to make a candidate comfortable and look down upon you if you try to negotiate

They are average at best. Most of them are junior with very little management experience.

Some days are too fast, some can be slow
Fast, pretty fast. Much faster than google, not as fast as smaller startup

Expectation setting about time and pace of interviews. Ask upfront about the process and also about the org structure to help you understand better where you'll be placed

How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Uber?
Depends on how well can one manage time and expectations
I have a two year old kid, and I pick him up from day care everyday. It is certainly not as stressfull like my previous startup (i can do, and expect to do a 9-6 job, unless theres an outage, which are rare), its also not as bogus as one of my previous big tech company job that if i dont do anything for months no one will understand anything, since it does not impact anything

I've been working with uber over 3 years & I make less per mile and I did at the beginning . Is there anyway you can change that so I can work less hours and more time with my family.
Depends which office: SF? Not great. Everywhere else? Fine.

Freedom from punching a time clock us really the only one I can think of
How do you feel about going to work everyday?
It's good work but the people who make it difficult work with their attitude; the need to put others down to elevate themselves.
