Been here for a long time (20+ years) and still have very positive things to say about working here
Review from Engineering Dept
Stressful, undercompensated, overworked, and underappreciated
Review from Engineering Dept
Honestly I don't like anything about them
Review from Engineering Dept
Provide regular information flow. Listen to employee feedback and provide meaningful responses.
Review from Engineering Dept
Their effort to adopt new methodologies
Review from Engineering Dept
Personable team, always interested in what is best for both the individual and company.
Review from Engineering Dept
They are pretty good at sitting down and listening to their employees who are under them about our suggestions and requests, which is great. But more times than not, the bulk of our suggestions and requests rarely come to fruition which can lead to less than stellar morale.
Review from Engineering Dept
Interacting with employees. There is little flow down and interaction, and little effort to get people involved with the leadership as well.
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership has the worst communication I've ever seen. Emails get ignored, issues are tabled until it's too late to solve them, and there's no support for the ICs. The level of tribalism is unbelievable too.
Review from Engineering Dept
They should actually care about the well being of new employees and offer some kind of onboarding support. And give me a desk and phone. And some training on how to do my Job rather than just some advertisements about how great Raytheon is would be beneficial.
Review from Engineering Dept
Stop bullying employees and listen to their complaints.
Review from Engineering Dept
Ensure information makes it to the low level employees and hold mid manager accountable for their lack of performance, attrition and high turnover
Review from Engineering Dept
Salaries and signing bonuses are high to offset their terrible reputation and work environment. The only reason to work for Raytheon is to lock in a high compensation and then immediately get out once your year is up.
Review from Engineering Dept
Good base salary and annual performance based bonuses
Review from Engineering Dept
Not the relocation service. They are not that helpful.
Review from Engineering Dept
You get paid on time. Pay is good for the area, but poor overall.
Review from Engineering Dept
401k match plan is the best.
Review from Engineering Dept
Feeling valued comes from being seen and respected for the work you do, not having more work thrown on you and 4 other people's jobs dumped on you because you won't fire the underperformers.
Review from Engineering Dept
Salary is low with no ability for growth. Talent is leaving at a high rate and there is a lack of suitable replacements
Review from Engineering Dept
After picking up significant responsibility (above pay grade), managing people (above pay grade), receiving recognition awards, and glowing reviews from coworkers/project managers, I have only received a 0.9% market adjustment to my salary. Other companies have offered double for similar roles.
Review from Engineering Dept
I feel undervalued because of the slack I pick up when my bosses are not able to keep up with changes is not recognized and the path for compensation growth is narrow and rigid based on very general requirements that do not consider impact made to the company.
Review from Engineering Dept
Paid sick leave separate from vacation time and a 10% to 20% raise. Pay is low for the industry.
Review from Engineering Dept
Deeply committed to our mission
Review from Engineering Dept
somewhat friendly and non-toxic but that can change anytime.
Review from Engineering Dept
Good people, personal, smart, and they care
Review from Engineering Dept
Team is fine, everyone is remote so no 'team culture'. Not an issue, but company doesn't encourage any interaction between local employees either.
Review from Engineering Dept
Very knowledgeable with diverse backgrounds. Positive attitude helps make days go fast
Review from Engineering Dept
Meetings are often aimless and without defined goals. Individuals try to fly under the radar and do as little work as possible. Communication, communication, communication.
Review from Engineering Dept
Communicate. Answer emails and texts. Come to work. Give us offices and phones.
Review from Engineering Dept
Need to improve on putting the product ahead of politics.
Review from Engineering Dept
Remove siloing and allow work to be done as a complete team with cross training amd ease of movement amongst career paths
Review from Engineering Dept
We get along well - not quite like a family, but close
Review from Engineering Dept
At least everyone is in the same boat and equally upset with things
Review from Engineering Dept
Company culture values integrity and ethics
Review from Engineering Dept
The team I work with is very solution oriented and experienced so if there is an issue that is found, our team can usually provide a solution fairly quickly.
Review from Engineering Dept
New department is good, there's transparency and accountability, everyone does their job. Old department was toxic.
Review from Engineering Dept
Leadership stop taking credit for the work of your team members. Promote for talent to retain talent. Recognize the accomplishments of your team members.
Review from Engineering Dept
Stop ignoring everyone and thinking people are working from home full time. They are not.
Review from Engineering Dept
Create a strict no bullying policy annd monitor work more closely.
Review from Engineering Dept
Management and the campus in Aurora seem to not take IT&V as an important role anymore. It seems that Test Engineering is also a dying breed but that is shown in the lack of quality systems being delivered.
Review from Engineering Dept
Transparency on HEL would be great. What's the plan for the year? Are we expected to relocate? Or are we being replaced?
Review from Engineering Dept
They asked personality based questions
Review from Engineering Dept
Met multiple people to better gage culture
Review from Engineering Dept
People actually spoke to me.
Review from Engineering Dept
The face-to-face conversation and general interest the interviewers have regarding past experience and projects.
Review from Engineering Dept
The preparation and overnight stay
Review from Engineering Dept
The interview was cursory. Never talked to the team or technical peers. Got hired for a defunct program. It was a joke.
Review from Engineering Dept
Get rid of Human Resources
Review from Engineering Dept
Working with young people new to the business
Review from Engineering Dept
Working with leading technologies on systems that matter
Review from Engineering Dept
Nothing right now due to lack of belonging there.
Review from Engineering Dept
Seeing the progression and growth of younger engineers on my team.
Review from Engineering Dept
End of Day and not being intimidated by my managers
Review from Engineering Dept
Post merger employees became cannon fodder. Just numbers to be used to meet a bottom line. 'Get rid of a few more and we can meet this quarter's goals'. The E suite has lost it's vision since ther merger/acquisition
Review from Engineering Dept
Retention is awful and technical debt is out of control. Employees need to be paid more and programs need more resources
Review from Engineering Dept
After expressing interest in growing career, exploring additional roles, and developing in leadership areas, essentially got ghosted by manager. RTX claims to have great leadership and development programs, but these are just to attract outside talent, and aren't actually available.
Review from Engineering Dept
Slow to no promotions, lack of recognition for good work, focusing entirely on what you did wrong. Improve it with an enforcement of balanced reviews.
Review from Engineering Dept
Better decisions and department and program management. The ceo and upper level management needs to come talk to the engineers to hear the real story
Review from Engineering Dept
Focus on engineering and technology
Review from Engineering Dept
Corporate Human Resources
Review from Engineering Dept
Stop getting ourselves into problems that require burning money
