Leadership has gone overboard promoting diversity. Promotion opportunities heavily favor minority individuals. If you are part of the majority, advancement will be more difficult.

HQ people need to back off in trying to run the RDC's, they have never worked in one, so don't try to run one.

Target's benefits do not stack up against many other large employers in the region as Target only cares to benchmark itself against other retail companies to save cost. Expect to pay higher health premiums and have lower bonus percentages.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
My best and most skilled coworkers have almost all left Target within a year and to backfill Target has been hiring more strictly focused on skillset and ignoring team chemistry fit, so now we have the dreaded smart jerks around polluting the open collaboration we once had

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Leadership to use common sense on how to get the job done. Stop creating Best practices based on what lawyers want. Safety is number one concern, but too much safety best practices will create a unsafe environment.

certain product areas have grown large and bloated and have become segmented out and the big picture is lost
