Target Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Fun company to work for. I enjoy it

My coworkers that im friendly with.

Review from Sales Dept

Good managers and good team members outweigh the negatives mostly.

Supportive, respectful, creative, and understanding

the company values and work/life balance.

the people are very positive and encouraging

There are a few mid-level leaders who understand whats being asked of everyone in terms of work load is nuts and who are kind and caring

Review from Sales Dept

We all try to interact with each other and ask about each other's day

I've been in retail for over 20 years and target is the best

Very welcoming from the very first day.

I cant think of anything.

Some team members work together. The leadership needs to get more strict with call outs.

We all stick together and try to help each other

Review from Operations Dept

Closing shift is most positive ....different the rest

Review from Sales Dept

My coworkers and interacting with the guests

The customers and the coworkers

We hire all types of people considering we need about anyone we can get.

Review from Sales Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The feedback system need to be reevaluated. The fear of making a mistake robs individuals of the pride that a healthy work environment requires. They want people to take ownership in store, but do nothing to give people that ownership.

Workload needs to be lighter.

Better pay, benefits and a secure work environment.

recognize those that work hard and give them better benefits for being hardworking.

Review from Operations Dept

Have leadership team work a shift as a regular team member so that they can understand how frustrating their expectations are at times. Maybe they will become more understanding, and see why most team members dislike coming to work.

For the culture, I believe target should set realistic expectaions that all will follow

Better people and quarterly bonuses for team members who deserve it.

Leadership needs to communicate better with team members and each other

appreciation and activities could be done from time to time

I can't think of anything I would change.

Seasoned team members airing their complaints to new hires causing a negative work experience.

Review from Operations Dept

They act as they care about you but they don't..

Pay your employees what is owed to them and make human resources actually do there jobs that they get paid to do or replace them because I'm looking for other employment because of these reasons

Clean the warehouse better and fix the app like how amazon has it

Management or shut the wkole company down. They think they are better than hourly employees

Paid is biggest issuse some one work 30 perfect reviews and a new employee who is hire 90 days hardly works get up paid more then the one with experience

Review from IT Dept

No lying . Be more compassionate and considerate and empathetic

Review from Sales Dept

We need to actually train our employees and then encourage good behavior and work ethic. As of now, anytime the managers interact with the team members its to micromanage or berate them for not working quick enough or good enough.

Review from Sales Dept

We need a better open door policy to voice our concerns without fear of being reprimanded or ignored.

Review from Sales Dept

Set realistic and attainable goal that works are able to work towards
