It's been tough. I feel at times rewarded by my peers thanks to Kazoo, but not rewarded by upper management as they never include my group in any conversations to help build out our area of the company. I feel overwhelmed, under paid and that there is no clear path for me. I want to be here, help!
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
It has definitely been a rollercoaster since I started due to many changes within my group and also from Thoma Bravo. I would say my experience in my first year and a half was rough, but more recent I am seeing improvements in my work environment. My main request, hire more people! WE NEED HELP!!!!!

It's love hate. I love my team and what we are trying to build together. I wish we had better upper management to support us, communicate what is being worked on in the background, and to listen so we can help them. SO much has gone wrong in our group because of a manager that never listens.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The chance to earn accelerators on my commission.

Listening and communicating with their middle management teams.

Willingness to step up and help when I ask for assistance.

Better communication across all segments and also they need to evaluate career pathing and competitive salaries within the industry for all positions.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone that is here wants to be treated like family and has a mutual respect for people that go above and beyond to assist.
What makes you most happy at work?
The positive energy of my team. I have hired some amazing individuals that are making a true impact and living by Barracuda's company values every day.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Need to hire more people to help with work load, provide better compensation/salaries when compared to industry, need better benefits, and better career pathing for advancement.

Need better compensation/salaries that are competitive, clear career pathing and title advancement, and more people hired into the group to support current and future work loads.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Willingness to go above and beyond. No job is too small and everyone pitches in, even when it is not the main focus of their core job function.

Everyone wears multiple hats to get the job done, wish there were more of them as we are beyond max capacity and work life balance does not exist anymore.

We all listen to each other and overcommunicate. Where our management falls short, we pick up the slack and turn lemons into lemonade. We truly are a "succeed together" team, which comes from within and not from our management at Barracuda.
What makes you most happy at work?
The need to be wanted. Everyone needs me and even though it can be stressful it's a good feeling to know that I am needed/wanted and that a lot of people's success depends on both myself and my team and what we bring to the table everyday.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am doing the job of 6 people, used to have way more support but as people have departed the company the job req has disappeared with them and I have inherited the responsibility at an increase of goal with zero increase in title or pay/compensation. Paid significantly lower compared to competitors
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
My team. We all strive to have the best attitudes and to help each other all the time being so incredibly understaffed. I look forward to interacting with my team everyday as we are 1000% on the same page and we care about each others wellness at Barracuda when our management does not always.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I wish my manager cared about the well-being of myself and my team. He seems to be preoccupied with other tasks and takes a lot of his frustration out on myself and my team. I want to help him more, but I am afraid to approach him as he is not the best listener or open minded most of the time.
