Communication inside of my department is stellar. My manager is supportive.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation is below where it needs to be for the level of work that staffers are doing. Many staffers have part-time jobs to supplement less than stellear pay at Barracuda Networks.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Non-sales departments (such as support, I.T., and facilities) are afterthoughts at best. We are understaffed and grossly underpaid. While it's true that our departments are a cost and do not generate revenue, consider how many customers you can retain without us.
