Overall, I love my job because of the work and products we produce. My team and boss are awesome, and am extremely lucky to be in this position. However, compensation seems to be a tough subject for upper management to appropriately execute.
What makes you most happy at work?
The products I get to work on, on a day-to-day basis.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I am free to do my work at my own pace, no micromanaging.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The comradery, we act like a well functioning team because we all get along.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The sense of family, not matter what function of the business you are in. No one acts better than anyone.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My job requires 2 years training (min). I was undercut on my starting salary and HR didn't care to hear my counter, even with the backing of my boss. New people are hired in making more than I do now. I get we want new talent, but retain the talent you already have!
