The job is challenging which I like. My boss is stretched way too thin and has no time for meeting individually unless something is on fire. He's a good boss but he manages a team of 15 and some commodities are a higher priority which makes it hard to give attention to the rest of the team.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They do not micromanage our team.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We have fun, even when things get stressful. Management is good about having holiday parties and spending that time to allow employees to mingle and unwind.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting things marked off of my list. I spend most of my time chasing parts or trying to escalate deliveries. When those work out, it's a win.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We are a diverse team with all age ranges, and we all work together very well. Everyone is helpful to one another, and we try to make work a fun place to be.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The complexity of the job does not match the pay grade. I am in Procurement and there are 4 levels to being a buyer and no matter what level you are, everyone is doing the same job. It is unfair to the level 1 and 2 positions.
