A never-ending challenge to overcome the almost mind-numbing bureaucracy at Bell. The only way that I've found to consistently do this is by finding like-minded allies that are interested in actually getting things done.

What makes you most happy at work?

Planning and executing long term fleet programs.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Vacation policy and 9/80 work week

Focus on the product and mission.

They leave us along and let us do our job.

Working on difficult challenges that are beyond the capabilities of most.

I enjoy interacting with those who share my values regarding hard work, competency and getting things done.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Company ratings and promotions at Bell seem to be based on bureaucratic skills rather than the value stream. We reward political skills and candidates that help us meet quotas.

What are some of the best things about your team?

There is a small (very small) group of up-and-comers that will be able to handle the difficult programs in the future if they company treats them well and they decide to stay at Bell.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Paying attention to common sense. Why would anyone consider putting employees into high density seating in the midst of a pandemic? That shows poor judgement and a lack of concern for employee health.
