Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation at Bell is largely based on years experience and employees are reviewed against their years experience peers, who may not be the same labor grade or even one labor grade apart.
What makes you most happy at work?
Interacting with others. I enjoy seeing the team make discoveries and progress as a group. Nothing brings me more satisfaction than watching an engineering breakthrough or hearing pilots speak about how an aircraft flies.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I have worked on four different teams in my 9 years at Bell. All of them have been incredible. The teams at Bell function as teams working toward joint goals even when tasks may be individual. Everyone has a vested interest in the success of one another.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The culture and environment at Bell feels like home. Initially, I did not understand why so many people work here for their entire careers, but after working here 9 years, I now understand. There's no reason to look elsewhere when the culture and environment are both empowering and comfortable.
