Dollar General is awesome but MOST managers are good but you have a few that lie about working ... i huess if you sleep with the DM it gets you off the hook !!!! Sad but true i work in ky dg my manager has lied about working took days as vacation so she would not loose them!! Illegal as crap!

My customers and my coworkers. Cant stand the manager at all! She is negative and seems to always act like we are worthless and the truth she is a liar and a thief!! Stealing hours from thr company is a thief in my eyes.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We have diversity which we need because it works great and we all shine at something different. Negativity comes from the top because our negativity cones from the manager never helping do one thing!! Nothing causes us to say screw it!! She doesnt work the mandatory 48 hrs per corp but gets by with
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Headquarter employees need to get out into the buisnesses you run.. things you ask for are impossible when you work alone fir 8 hrs.. i am not the manager but work in her place! Make your MANAGERS show up and actually work.. most managers sit on their butts when they do show up.. you open stores!!!!
What are some of the best things about your team?
All the workers are great as a team but we all want to leave our stire because the manager is worthless.. she may be doing the DM but she still should be our backbone but we no longer depend on her for anything. I have talked everyone into staying because I cant do this alone . Looking for JOB
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
First they need a manager that shows up for work!! Mine shows up about 15 hrs a week and sits in her office,she is not a leader. I understand why DG cant get workers! If the manager is to good to throw freight or do seasonal ehy have a manager. Corp needs to expect more and actually go check it out!
