Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I have been with Golden Hippo exactly 1 year today. In that time, I have learned so much, grown a ton, and look forward to even more challenges and advancement. My team is supportive, my managers are invested in my growth, and the company overall is employee-driven. It's a wonderful place to work.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They are very transparent and open with all staff members.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The company offers 100% paid benefits for employees, and low costs for dependents.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is very supportive of one another. There is no competition or cut-throat "getting ahead." Everyone is there to help each other succeed.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to do my work without any hand-holding or overbearing management. My job is very independent and I thrive best in independent roles.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I feel that the executive leaders have clearly defined, measurable goals for the company. They are also transparent with all employees at every level.
What makes you most happy at work?
I enjoy the fun social events we occasionally do. Even as a virtual/100% remote employee, I can still participate in social events and spend time with my coworkers.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I appreciate our opportunities to earn bonus pay, on both an individual performance level and through company KPI bonuses. It really makes me feel like my hard work is rewarded.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is supportive of one another and willing to help each other. No one stabs you in the back or refuses to help you. We're all working toward the same goals, and supporting each other makes ourselves AND our team stronger.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I'm really given a lot of freedom and independence in my role. My managers don't micro-manage me. They trust me to get my work done on time, and to do a good job. I thrive when working in an independent role.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone on my team is always in a positive mood. I don't ever feel like I have to tiptoe around people to make sure they're not in a bad mood or unwilling to help me with something. This was a struggle in previous jobs.
