Reading the room. There have been many instances where employee concerns were simply brushed off and ignored. They were also slow to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and the BLM movement.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I've recently taken on more responsibility thanks to a shift in the company and would like a raise/promotion associated with that responsibility rather than the paltry 4% for good performers that doesn't really track with inflation.

This company highly values results and data however if you're working in a supportive or creative role, there's no recognition nor compensation. They also hire unqualified people in roles that hinder growth and undermine those who have experience. There needs to be a program in place to help.

It often seems that the people working the hardest and hustling aren't the ones getting paid the most. Also, the company is married to certain metrics being the only ones that matter for raises/promotions and they don't take into account people who support those metrics but don't claim them directly

The company needs to spend money on professional tools to do our job. We're often provided with cheap, non industry standard gear. It lowers morale and worse creates wore work and frustration than if we had just been given professional tools to begin with.

Business structure is outdated and the leadership team is failing to recognize that. They continue with their old ways and this could potentially be their downfall unless they do something about it. They need to focus on other aspects of their business, not just the data-driven teams.

Our workplace environment breeds gossip and lacks interdepartmental cooperation. I believe this can be solved by creating a better sense of team work, reprimanding who work against this goal, and it would be helpful if Golden Hippo cleaned house.
