Culturally, would have preferred it if SecureLink had not joined Imprivata. But the acquisition makes good business sense and serves customers. Possibly a situation where "I didn't leave the company, the company left me".

Unfortunately, typical of a big bureaucracy company that picks up small, successful companies and squeezes the juice out until all that's left is an empty husk. I've given Imprivata several years to fulfill their promises. Now I'm looking every day to work someplace else. Of course the worst thing

Bonus, I guess. If only it were paid at end of year. But we can't support Christmas, can we?

Some of them work very hard to accomplish our tasks on top of working on their own career growth.

Would happily trade all of my 'benefits' for cash. Tying healthcare insurance to the employer was a terrible idea. Pet insurance? give me a break

My team really is fantastic. They work hard and perform well. They look out for each other. We all pull together to get to the finish line.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Really tired of working to enrich the morally corrupt. Really tired of being promised sunshine and rainbows and not seeing it delivered. Imprivata bought us out years ago, still waiting for things to be what was promised.
What makes you most happy at work?
Work is work. It's not about being excited or even happy. Yes, it should be satisfying. But it's really sick to tie someone's happiness to their work as if the company is somehow responsible for the mental health of the employees.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
'Close friend at work'? Are you kidding? Is this high school? It's work. The systematic destruction of the American family had let to this sick notion that everyone has to have friends at work. But to answer the question... 'Speak up' and 'Own the outcome' are positive cultural aspects.
