Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
My overall experience with Invitation Homes is great. I am able have a schedule that enables me to have a second and third job. I have the support that I need to perform my duties and i feel the company goes above and beyond to insure a high morale for all employees.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager Vanessa is extremely knowledgeable concerning my position as well as others on the team. She is always willing to help and educate me to help me progress in my career.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay at Invitation Homes is not competitive with other property management companies in the immediate area. Also, the pay is not sufficient enough for a single parent or one income household.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
On Tuesdays the office is full of WFH colleagues. Amazingly, you would never know that we do not know each other personably or just met. Everyone is inviting and accepting to all new employees and each other.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Under the leadership of Vanessa, my team is extremely positive and motivated. No drama or negativity and overall morale is through the roof. We are constantly working on ways to make our work more sufficient and less stressful.
What makes you most happy at work?
The self-paced environment, having confidence and knowledge in my assigned responsibilities, knowing my supervisor trust me to work alone, the unsolicited feedback from my supervisor and the ability to learn new tasks to help my coworkers if needed.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Vanessa is very transparent, personable, trusting, patient, caring, honest and most importantly she knows how to perform everyone's tasks not just her own. I really admire and respect her for that. Vanessa is the epitome of a model supervisor.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Even though we all do not share the same tasks that require much communication between the 5 of us the morale is strong. We enjoy each other's company and always look for ways to come together rather for just a small chat or lunch.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am most happy because I do not feel overworked during the day or stressed when it's time to go home. I know have support when I need it and I do not feel any negative energy from any one regardless of their position or title.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Invitation Homes is the first company I have ever worked for that goes above and beyond to promote culture and engagement. I love the fact that I have the opportunity to network and befriend others outside of my department. Also, the Cultural groups are ACTIVE, that is rare.
