Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I've been at Medallia a few years and can honestly say that this past year has been awful. I make less money yet I have more responsibilities. People are looking for the exits. Repeat that last sentence about 10 times. Everyone has their resume ready to go at a moment's notice.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Low healthcare cost per paycheck.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They have emotional intelligence and not just intellect. That's important.

What makes you most happy at work?

Surprise mental health days, bonuses, was to increase my income.

What are some of the best things about your team?

The friendship. It makes spending 40+ hours with them a breeze.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

My manager and their boss. They understand there is a human element to a company. Treat your employees with respect and they'll show it back to you.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Improve morale. Backfill roles. Improve pay. Stop letting private equity dictate profits over people. Medallia is nothing without the employees. Treat them better.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The company isn't backfilling roles and expects team members of a departed employee to pick up the slack. People are doing the jobs of 2-4 individuals and not being compensated for it. Most didn't even receive a cost of living raise this past year.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Improve morale. Ex: Closing the office between Christmas and New Years is such a simple solution. Sales aren't going to be made because the target customers are taking that time off. NORAM has unlimited PTO so those teams will be taking off. It's such an easy win yet instead its now a power struggle
