Paycom – Overall, I do feel lucky to work here. However, I feel like that feeling can be taken advantage of by leadership with the expectation that we'll just "go with the flow" because we are lucky to work here rather than actually implementing the feedback that we give to improve. | Comparably

What are some of the best things about your team?

Collaborative, kind and typically open to feedback.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Collaborative atmosphere within my department

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

The company feels directionless at the moment - choosing to implement band-aid solutions rather than determining the root cause. I'm hoping moving into 2024 the focus will be on improving current state rather than continual innovation.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone shows up to do their best that day - I feel that I can always rely on my teammates to pick me up or help me out on the days where I'm not at my best!

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Preference to degrees (even in unrelated fields) rather than actual experience. For example, as a senior with more experience, I was given less on the pay scale then a non-senior role who had a degree in an unrelated field.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Compensation should be evaluated more regularly to keep up with industry standards. For people who have been here several years, we can be locked into merit increases each year with newer hires making more money than us because our own compensation hasn't been revisited.
