It took me time to get to a happy place at this company. I started in a key department that was way overworked and arguably underpaid. I've now moved to a department where the challenge of the role is more growth-oriented, and I don't hate coming to work everyday, but it took years to get here.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The abundance of paid time off and the options that prevent me from having to unexpectedly use PTO for something out of my control (Bereavement, Jury Duty).
What are some of the best things about your team?
We collaborate and support each other on an ongoing basis. The whole team is friendly and shares the same goal of being excellent in our contributions to the Paycom mission.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Sometimes, we're just in a busy season that I and my team have no control over. Recently, we had to wait on a decision from the executive team that resulted in a shortened timeline on a major project.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I feel like the general environment is one of support, whatever and wherever that means. There's no judgement from anyone when going to the gym or participating in wellness activities. I don't experience or witness prejudice. Everyone is generally supportive in the success of those they work with.
