I am so happy to finally work for an organization that understands that happy employees are productive employees, and that makes for a successful company! They just get it!
My experience with WFS as a company has been great. However, my manager could use some coaching and constructive feedback, and there is currently no method for communicating this without speaking to them directly, and I am not comfortable doing that.
WFS is an excellent company to work for with a great culture and work-life balance. There could be more collaboration across departments to avoid silos of information. Leadership training is needed to help supervisors mentor and retain talent, and salaries could be more competitive.
Excellent collaboration and sharing of best practices.
They are friendly, caring people.
They are caring and supportive
Positive, empathetic, inclusive and supportive
Compassionate leadership that values and treats employees like people.
When others recognize my contributions.
Great communication at regular intervals. Down to earth and positive.
Everyone is compassionate and understanding, while still holding each other accountable.
Being appreciated and acknowledged by my supervisor and others for my contributions.
Great people with great attitudes, who are happy to work here and happy to help others.
Being able to help the sales team close deals, making our customers happy, and being recognized for my contributions.
They are driven and passionate about what they do, very professional, and seem to care about the people in the organization overall.
Progressive, open-minded and compassionate, while still being grounded in reality, focused and driven. Great communication from the CEO in the company updates.
My Director rarely acknowledges the effort I put into developing tools and collateral to support the growth of our team and practice area. And my base salary is not competitive for the same role in the market.
I love NOT being micromanaged, being able to have a constructive, professional conversation with my supervisor that generates new ideas about what we're working on. I love working with kind, intelligent people, with similar values and work ethics, who are all excited about going to work each day!
I like their honesty, openness, and transparency. I also like that they talk to employees as equals, not down to employees in a patronizing way. I like that they do a great job of communicating with employees on a regular basis, and share both short and long term goals.
Unlimited PTO: it's not about taking time off 24/7 or blowing off responsibilities, it's knowing you work for a compassionate company that isn't going to be petty about your available leave balance when life throws you a curve ball. It removes an element of stress from life and flexibility is gold!
Based on my salary it appears there has not been any compensation research done for this role. Every other software company of comparable size is paying an average of 76% more for the exact same role and function. The salary for this role needs to be competitive in order to retain talent.
As a new hire I can only speak to what I've seen over the last month, but so far, Mike is the best CEO I've ever worked for in over 20 years! It all starts at the top, and his open communication, professional demeanor, personable tone, humility and straight talk are a breath of fresh air!
The unlimited PTO. I like it not because I plan to take a lot of time off, but because it makes me feel trusted and valued as an employee. Offering unlimited PTO says my employer trusts me to manage my own time and still get my job done. I love knowing that my supervisor and employer trust me.
