American Airlines Outlook Employee Reviews

What makes you most happy at work?

Helping my passengers start off with a positive feeling as they start their journey.

Review from Operations Dept

The best traits of my team are the supportive, respectful, and positive environment they create, which makes me feel genuinely happy and valued at work.

Going home to see my family

The independence, responsibility, and success I feel working.

Business passengers and colleagues are the best.

To feel of value to management

Talking with passengers and my fellow coworkers.

Review from Sales Dept

Knowing my team is successful and enjoying what they do.

Review from Operations Dept

Nothing at all except getting paid

When I am able to work independently! (not micro managed)

Traveling and helping others travel as well.

M o n e y

I guess just the overall job itsself

My co-workers, and the work pace. You get so busy, you forget 4 hours have passed already.

Cooperation with other team members

Passagers complain about delays and lost luggage

My role to lead others and nurture growth.

Seeing my coworkers and feeling lije i did a great job

When the shift ends, it is a great feeling.

I enjoy being around co-workers.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Company needs to pay off debt, modernize technology and improve service

This place is a damn joke

New management and overhaul on policies. Srop abusing the employees

Honestly and transparency and ethics

get rid of the America West/ US Air management regime - replace them with a Gordon Bethune (former Continental) or Richard Anderson or Ed Bastian type

Improve company culture, then client experience will improve as well.

improve work ethics and morale

Review from Operations Dept

A better aligned job to my skillset and liking

Review from IT Dept

AA cannot do anything right. The management is so out of touch with the average employee- the average employee feels it and is acting out in ways that hurt the image and brand of the company

Review from Operations Dept

I work at home and I book tickets. I often get angry customers on my phone who want a refund on a nonrefundable ticket. I often get cussed at, yelled at, and death threats said towards me every day while on the phone. Customers shouldn't be allowed to speak to us this way.

Review from Sales Dept

A sweeping change in upper management

Review from Operations Dept

Settle our contracts and respect the workers

Review from Operations Dept

Management needs to listen to front line employees that interact with customers on a daily basis. They set their own agenda and hope that the front line employees will agree with it. Management will never ask front line employees "how can we do this better?"

Review from Sales Dept

Everything is wrong... I don’t even know where To begin! I feel bad for people who fly with us because of the horrible products we offer! There is nothing service wise we can fix when the products aren’t good enough

Review from Customer Support Dept

Finance is very cut throat. The leaders thrive on the fact they can stop projects from progressing under the guise of responsibility/accountability.

they seem to want to charge legacy prices but operate like a discount airline, no leg room, no luggage allowance

Review from Customer Support Dept

I think the company doesnt deliver on all of their promises and i also believe they are constanty downgrading the product which upsets the passengers who then take our their frustrations on those of us who have no control over the changes

Review from Operations Dept

Management does not take the time to listen to employees

Review from Customer Support Dept

Share the wealth with those who actually produce the profits.

Review from Operations Dept
