Work life balance. It's very dysfunctional

We work fine together. Company promotes networks and department group activities

Terrible management. Company says career is in your hands, but a manager ultimately stifles opportunities and hinders growth. Managerial skills are inconsistent amongst senior leadership team.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Clearer expectations and more timely process. Hiring managers take weeks to months to make a decision. Unprofessional and inconsiderate of people trying to move on with their lives and make personal decisions
