The CEO really is a progressive leader. The amount of benefits available are pretty generous. During difficult moments the company is willing to lend a hand. Further down the leadership chain is a whole different story. Terrible ppl left to manage some incredible talent. They should leverage that.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The pay is at/above minimum wage and if you live in less expensive cities and towns you really can benefit. Otherwise the pay is ok. A uniform stipend and paid lunch breaks would make a decent difference. Also allowing vacation time to rollover or using more than one week at a time would be great

Everybody makes the same pay regardless of longevity with the company

The company spends insane amounts on outside contractors, but is not generous when it comes to the salaries of employees or individual contractors.

The interview process takes FOREVER. I actually forgot I had applied. Once you land the interview the questions are really straightforward, may involve some role play scenarios and questions that really allow the interviewer to get to know you. My direct manager interviewed me.

The HR department is ineffective, often incorrect and does not have the goal of employee retention or satisfaction in mind.

People are constantly yelling at us on the phone because we messed something up with their loan packages

Like I said, the work, while pretty big, is doable - but we need better compensation. Or less work at equal pay.

They continue to ask more of us but that doesn't show up in compensation. They believe that throwing a benefit that we can't use is replacement enough.
