There is a lot of FUD right now due to the acquisition of Saba. As a result, there is a lot of uncertainty and fear, which is sapping employee morale and leading to stagnation. Clearly articulating RIF schedules and making employees feel valued would help a lot.

Manager does not take an interest and the development conversation did nothing to address the issues. when employees go out of their way - extra hours, weekend working recognition by a bonus payment would be appreciated

Prior leadership started to squeeze the employees a lot more on health benefits, and uncertain what future will hold. Cost cuts are the norm, which generally means employee benefits and pay are a last resort to hold at or above market standards. In a wait and see pattern.

Most of the tasks performed by the team are highly nuanced and somewhat unique to CSOD. I've made a commitment to these CSOD-specific processes and ensured that tasks are completed correctly and timely. Being loyal to the company is important but so is career progression and compensation/equity.

Less PPT presentations, more short memo briefs prior to meetings, meetings should be spent really debating the key decision points. Finally, technology during meetings are very poor, meetings always start late. Too many meetings, to many e-mails, etc...
