Accessibility to managers and coworkers across the company is key. If I have a question about something, I know who to talk to and know that they will get back to me in an appropriate amount of time. If someone doesn't know the answer, they will put me in contact with someone else who does.

Goals to earn more are reasonable - they are not so far out left field that you don't have a chance, and there are people who are willing to help you reach them.
